Zeno X Gallery shows Jan De Maesschalck - Antwerp, Belgium - In 1988 Jan De Maesschalck (°1958, Sint-Gillis-Waas, Belgium) joined the weekly magazine HUMO as a draughtsman and subsequently worked for the newspapers De Standaard and De Tijd. For almost 10 years he has published on a weekly basis in De Morgen's book supplement. He also draws for the new art magazine art. The paper and acryl are put aside for a while and De Maesschalck shows now his oil paintings on panel and canvas from the period 2006-2007. Princeton to Return Looted Art to Italy ROME, ITALY - Princeton University announced that its art museum had reached an agreement to return eight ancient works to Italy that the Italian government says were looted and illicitly exported. The pact calls for the Princeton University Art Museum to send back four of the objects immediately and to keep four on loan for the next four years, the university said in a statement. In a partial victory of sorts, Princeton will keep seven other pieces that had been part of negotiations
