The next question asked was: How do you arrange payment for a work of art? This really depends on where you are buying the piece. If you are purchasing directly from an artist or from a private individual, you are probably going to have to pay for it before they will release the item to you .

MILAN, ITALY.- Sotheby's to hold ImportantOld Master Paintings Auction at Sotheby's Milan. On Tuesday, November 20, a selection of paintings on view at 10-13. Some fine examples of paintings by Italian Schools from 14th to 16th century are highlighted by a small group of Florentine 15th century panels. Among which is an unpublished Madonna col Bambino e quattro angeli musicanti.
LONDON.- Gagosian Gallery announced an exhibition of new work by Michael Craig-Martin, his first at Gagosian Gallery, London, Saturday, 1 December 2007 - Thursday, 31 January 2008. Throughout his career, Craig-Martin has explored the expressive and linguistic character of commonplace objects, evincing a dialogue between representation and reality in art. In the new paintings, outlines of everyday objects-- an umbrella, a light bulb, a drinking glass -- are drawn against a background of flat, vibrant colour.
MADRID, SPAIN.- The third edition of Art Madrid will be held on February 13 - 17, 2008. Art Madrid 08 will receive 78 galleries, 59 of them Spanish and 19 international. Art Madrid's organizers, Arte y Asociados, will launch FIART VALENCIA, the first edition of the International Fair of Contemporary Art of Valencia. After last year's economic success and high-level turnout of visitors, Art Madrid 08 will have 4.500 square meters of exhibition space, 20% more than last year's.
